For one reason and another it took a while to sort this issue out.
The brake pedal sensor cleared the initial problem but a second scan brought up an error code showing an air leak on a hose.
Car back in action, running well and so far no warning lights.

Re: Manual or Automatic? Looking at entry into Z3 ownership
I'm not the most qualified person to advise on this as my 3.0i Z3 is the first automatic i've owned in over 45 years of driving. However.... I must confess that when I first bought her I did wonder if a manual would give a better driving experience but as time went on realised that most of the time ...

I've been looking at 3.0i prices over the last few days and yes, mileage is a factor but on Pistonheads there's a 34,000 miler in black that's up for £16,000k Prices for the 3.0i have moved up over the past couple of years Lightning, probably as a result of the rapid rise in 'M' prices? Cheers Gazza, I have walked away...... 8-) The price wasn't right. Somewhat underpriced when compared to similar vehicles, which contributed to my caution. I've put this here in the lounge as it's not Z related but thought someone might have an answer? I went to view a used van recently, and paid £8.99 for a fairly detailed online search, MOT's, Insurance issues etc., and it said that the colour should be white. I had this happen a few years ago after the car was parked up for a while and it righted itself. Gone off again at 4am this morning! Now thinking it is the alarm after all? Lights flashing and a little louder. Back in June of last year I started a thread about the material lifting in the bottom left hand corner of my roof. Quick update. I moved the car at a 45 degree angle to its former position, effectively side on to the sun - although we've had none - and the situation has improved considerably. That and a little more effort clearing the condensation.
