What sort of filtration are you using. My mates acted up after a waterpump failure and his cone filter sucked in coolant which caused the butterfly to stick after it sat for a couple days

Check the throttle body. Chances are the butterfly valve is stuck, dirty. Clean it. The secondary valve that cuts power when the asc kicks in is stuck keeping the asc light on.

Until you make sure of the condition of the suspension components any discussion on handling is pointless. Once you know the mechanics are right then you can move on to tyre choice, ride heights and geometry settings. It's taken me a few months to get mine where I am happy with it at speed on b road...

By wire or cable is irrelevant. Not so much a limp home mode, but pull back a couple degrees timing and add a little fuel and pres...

The discs are the same size or smaller than the 3 series saloon. A popular brake upgrade is to put the 300mm discs from saloons on with the original calipers and pads. Z3 has 280 mm discs. Given the low mileage you do I would go Mobil 1 0w40. IMHO one of the best oils available and the 0W cold rating ensures the fastest possible pressure build up on cold starting. This oil has served me without fail for almost 140,000 miles in a 450/450 evo5. You need to check the voltage under load. ...
