Re: Service Schedules.
Hi, I used to replace coolant every 2/3 years, sometimes 4 but not more so you prevent any clogged circuit. I have never heard about this "new generation stuff" before. I would also change the water pump while you are doing the timing belt, it's just 3 more nuts to remove and sometimes th...

Re: I've recovered my seats-with pics.
Hi tg184 The material I got came from a BMW main dealer, Specialist cars in Stevenage but any BMW main agent should be able to source it. It was held in Germany and was ordered in, took about 5 days. I believe it had been remanufactured in a limited batch. The part No is: B51.92.2.212.131 I was advi...

Re: Tyreweld v Mobility kit
I suppose it is true to say that the size of the damaged tyre that you remove will always be a problem though. ^^ This. Where is it supposed to go? On your passenger's lap!? Amazingly the full size wheel (original 16 inch) will fit back in the boot as long as the hood is up. I know this from when I...

I think I shall also get one of these. Otherwise, in view of the fact that my other half deems it necessary to take at least twice the quantity of outfits and shoes needed for any trip, we struggle to use my Z1 for much other than the occasional day trip ! My point exactly and if I had a boxster or...

Thanks to all who have replied so far, keep em coming :D I am considering all options available and will let you know what I decide on, I'm particularly interested in the compact Mini/BMW compressor kit as my own tyre pump is a bit old and could do with replacing anyway. Hi guy's I'm going to take the Z1 to France on Frederic Brossaud's tour and will also factor in a holiday. The spacesaver is probably the original (23 years old!) and whilst this is past it's sell by date it has been used by myself once locally, but I need the space in the boot. So what's best Tyrew...

Yeah that looks a better bet than the one I listed on PH. Seller is in Enfield not far from me, I wonder if it's the same one that you posted on as being spotted on Meridian/Watermead Way,the New Road in Enfield some time back? Re: Cheap Z1 on PH
The only Z3 that remotely interests me is the Z3M Coupe because it's appealingly barmy. As a general rule, I find the (1st generation) Z4 a much more appealing car in both roadster and coupe form to the Z3. But none of them are comparable to a Z1, which is simply a different sort of car to all BMW'...

Having seen Bluebaur's refurbished seats at Silverstone made mine look very old and tatty, what I did not know was that BMW had done a small production run of the FunGelb (yellow) material. Bluebaur had picked this up from a posting earlier (which I had missed) from Pat Slade. So being as there are ...

Would need a major service to recommision with all fluids changed, plus four new tyres due to flat spotting. And then as soon as it gets on the road and gets some miles under it's belt the value drops! crazy.
