pump fault 71 is usually the ECU on the pump itself, 4little torx bolts and the unit comes off without any fluid escaping or the need to bleed it,
Get a working one from a scrapper for about £50 and code it, or get it refurbished for about £200.

Viscous fan. I took one off my Range Rover diesel, and many people remove them from BMWs (mine never had one). Avoids the fan exploding and destroying everything in it's path, plus puits less pressure on the water pump bearing. Z3s have an aux fan that is more than capable of doing the job. only on...

The template mentioned only has two dimensions so you'll have to figure out the rest. the dimensions only help to order a rectangle of perspex. other than that its of no use Bullshit. Bring the template to perspex laser cutting service and they will do the rest. Template has all the required shapes...

my money is still on a sticking calliper, regardless of what your mechanic says, buckled wheels, bushes etc etc don't resolve themselves and get better but a calliper can.

That's rare to see in the U.K. Gook I don't suppose it failed where you hacksawed the old bushe out did it... I just polybushed my rear beam, roll bar and trailing arms. a lot better. Oh... and if you go with a poly diff bush... you can have a load of fun.... not to be the bearer of bad news but we had a 1.9 auto, bought it and we found out that it had had a full gearbox rebuild. we didn't even keep it 6 months because we felt it still wasn't right and the warranty wasn't transferrable to us.

Hi Guys, the dreaded tram lining has now gone and the car has been transformed. Initially changed front suspension bushes to Polly bushes, a improvement (10/15%) tried altering tyre pressures, no effect. Replaced the 18inch wheels that had 225/40/18 Bridgestone tyres on with 16 inch alloys with 225...

This will put the airbag light on as you have turned on the ignition with the seat disconnected. As for blinding headlights, the ones I meet are generally rewarded with my turning on the fog lights. Quite conveniently, z3s have two rear ones... Boosh. sometimes they have bright led lights, a high up vehicle, whereas we have a low, sometimes lowered car. Is that really their fault? or anything ...

last week I had a car behind me at 5.45 am with blinding lights so I slowed down to 30 mph (60mph limit) still up my rear went to 20mph still there even though the road in front was clear up to 30 still there still there so I indicated left to let him past still there so dropped into 2nd floored it...

The hood operation is automatically disabled if the correct wiring loom is used and the Z3 only has passive roll-over protection. I'm pretty sure the hood would still try to operate on the Z3, but I've never actually tried. AFAIK the three way connector that supplies the HRW and goes up to the roof...
