As the rack slopes down at the back, the rail/upstand should be at the back to stop things slipping backwards (down the slope) till they are strapped on. Thats the way I would presume is the right way. (tis on most classics and sports cars anyway). A good buy for someone.

I dont think the TITilating noise would be caused by the front strut brace, unless it was just touching the bonnet at some point and causing a vibration that may sound further back than it is. What sort of noise are you getting. (maybe ask Robert T to explain it in writing so we can all picture it.)...

Am fifty-leven, owned the Z for 6 years. Allways owned softops, no hair - must be a connection there.

Am sure there would be less accidents if averybody drove interesting cars like Zds and not boring cars that they fall asleep in when driving.
