Right - i'll have a look in the loft tonight for you - 99% certain i still have it

there are 2 parts to the lid - since you have HK setup i think you should be able to use the current lid inner and screw it to the outer piece

i'll let you know what i have found

has anyone got the size of the tenax faster on the rear of the rollhoop stowage box to hand ? yep, they are discontinued as a spare from BMW so you cant get the BMW variant anymore looks to me like they might be 50mm long but ive no clue as to where to get them from - tried several sites but no joy ...

think once youve done it you know its fairly easy to revert. couple hours work i reckon max does "seem" like a lot but if you think a wind deflector could net you say £90 on ebay and the rollhoops another £350 it makes a large-ish % if your car is say only worth £3-£4K and a complete rollh...

Welds are a pretty good route to go on a pre 97 car I think.

the hoops arent supposed to be a safety device per say as the windscreen mounts are the main rollover protection i believe

its just the rollhoops really finish the zed off with a wind deflector IMO so go for it if you can

wiper motor...

anyone on here changed the wiper motor on a zed before ? only tricky but i can see is getting the plastics off the windscreen... i dont need to exchange the motor - just the wiper arm bushes as mine have deteriorated making a "clunk" from the front offside at certain RPM's and uneven road....

Aha ! right - know what you mean now from the pic. so if i used say 5mm MDF to give 10mm overall thickness i could still get the 6.5" speaker in without the cone fouling the inside of the grille in the footwells ? im guessing there is about 10mm clearance between front of speaker cone and grill...

try marc at hills breakers - nice chap my advice is phone them twice a week till you find some - dont bother with the internet search/mail system - i got mine by phoning over a couple of weeks even when their email said they didnt have any agree with others on the side vents - look great on lighter ...

yep, retrofitting rollhoops is a wallet burner !

i was lucky to get everything in superb condition from Hills breakers for £310 a week ago

the inner mounts are substantial bits of kit and would be tough to manufacture IMO
