If I had £13,500 ( ) and could afford the juice, I'd have it off you.

Didn't like the Z4 at all when they first appeared, especially the interior (dash), but must admit the looks are growing on me - the jury is still out on the interior.

Yep, you'll need two brackets that fasten to captive nuts in the shell, new panels which house the speakers, new top cubby box and lid, outer top trim pillers with the access holes to the fasteners for the hoops. You'll also need to swap the lock in the lid pop panel so your key still works. IMO get...

If you want to fit OE roll hoops, you'll need to replace all the rear trim panels and get the brackets and hoops.
I got everything I needed from a scrap yard (about £200 from memory) and fitted them myself in a couple of hours - with no real problems.

Re: Ta

BMW did spend time and money on the suspension, but that does not mean they didn't borrow the basic concepts from other vehicles. The front suspension is lifted directly from the E36 3 series and the rear is almost identical to the E30 or E36 compact. Even that doesn't necessarily mean a compromise...

Re: Just been reading all this stuff about lowering, my take

That would depend on the design brief - if the car had been designed for fat Yanks to cruise down their laser straight roads - the suspension would be wholly unsuitable for a "sports car" in the UK. Hasn't the rear suspension been lifted straight from an E30 though..? give or take a few t...

Pull some string across the back of the plate in a "sawing" action. This'll allow you to pull the string through the adhesive pads and may mean you could reuse the Chrome trim - if you wanted to?
