I'd agree - a little bit in the cap is probably just from short trips. If there are no symptoms of a problem, there probably isn't one.

Re: Devastated -help needed asap
Can you buy the written-off car back and use it as a donor to swap the trans in the new car? It would be a very easy swap if you had both cars at the same time. Plus you'd have a spare engine at the end of, plus a load of spares (if you have the space to keep them).

You'll need to remove most of the interior - the carpets are one piece that goes under the centre console, so it's a fairly big job. See here for more info: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=15979

If you really want a hardtop for such a rare colour I would suggest you just buy any hardtop and have it painted. You could be waiting years for one in the correct colour (assuming any were made in Fiji in the first place).

You can get a pair of new ones from Euro Car Parts for about £50 so you may as well just replace them if you're going to the trouble of replacing the struts.

Front or rear? What exactly do you mean by coilovers - I assume you mean adjustable springs which are commonly (if incorrectly) referred to as coilovers?

I'm planning on getting my wheel done by Royal Steering Wheels and I'm undecided on whether I should go for perforated leather or not. I assume you're still getting the 'System voltage <9 volts'? If so, I think I'd be checking for a voltage drop to the braking system - could be a bad connection somewhere.

Yes, basically that. It refers to how heat 'soaks' into components from a hot engine when it isn't running, which are normally kept cool by the forward motion/fan/etc.

You need to get it on diagnostics to see what is going on. I'd suspect a faulty sensor (camshaft or throttle) but unless you want to just swap parts to find the fault, you need to see what's going on.

There are many threads on tramlining and the causes tend to be one of, or a combination of, tyres, suspension, bushes, balljoints or tracking. New tyres seems to be the most common resolution.
If you have a square setup, you could try swapping the wheels front-to-back as a no-cost experiment.

There are so many potential causes of tramlining that you would need a coupe and a roadster on fresh suspension, with the same tyres to make a comparison as to whether the chassis rigidity comes into play. Tramlining is generally a function of suspension, tyre make, tyre wear, etc, etc, so I doubt y...

If one works, they both should. I'd start by taking the glass out of the non-working one just to make sure it hasn't been replaced at some point in the past with a non-heated mirror. That will also give access to the wiring to the glass so you can check for a voltage and so on.
