Re: Boot floor - Check

For it to be designated Cat D only a year after (2001) it came off the production line (2000) with a value of £40,000 +, the damage must have been considerable/extensive and somewhat borderline in terms of being rescued. As a result it may cost more to insure now and its market value will always be...

Is this part no. for the pump or the controller? I've tried putting the number in RealOEM to see what other (if any) models it was fitted to as the Z3 shares components with the E36/E46 series but it does not recognise the number.

As above if you are worried about it then get it checked out. As for the Z4 it is only one particular style on the newer E89 Z4 that appears to be having problems and generally it is the 19" wheel that seems to be the worst. I've not heard of any significant problems with the Z3 or E85 Z4.

How did you did diagnose the ABS pump failure? I've just fostered my brother's Z3 and want to get it back on the road after a lay off. Looking from the front on mine the fuse box is back right of the engine bay not sure where it is on a 1.9 but it shouldn't be difficult to spot. The list and location of the fuses should be on a label on the inside of the cover to the fuse box along with spare fuses, etc.
