MOT advisory, seepage from steering rack...
Passed the MOT yesterday with two advisories. Front pads wearing low and slight oil seepage from offside of steering rack, about which the guy on the phone said 'you might need a new steering rack?' It seemed an off the cuff remark - he's not the mechanic - and it sounds rather drastic? Not being me...

There's nothing worse than uncomfortable seats. Personally I find the Z ok as I prefer to sit lower in a car and that lets me do just that. Anybody had their Z from new?
I was asked by a friend what inspired me to buy a Z3 and the best answer I could come up with was that i'd known a couple of people who had them from new - one a firey red driven by the footy teams goalkeeper hand brake turned on the car park James Bond style, the other in green metallic with a grey...

Having committed the cardinal sin of allowing the (new last year) battery to discharge I've had to jump start zeddie twice in the past couple of months. A bit of a run and a 5 mile round trip enables a normal start and put on charge for a few hours and she's good to go for a few weeks. Today however...

Effectively a superglue that doesn't stick to your fingers that would for example join rubber belts end to end in seconds.

I've twice had to stick the chrome trim back onto the doorhandle, the last time using some super heavy duty signmakers double sided tape.
Fortunately i've not lost it but that's more luck than judgement.
Can I buy the shaped to fit double sided pads that would originally have come with the trim?
