Thanks for the pictue, it confirms that the Tank has to be removed from the Rad vertically (due to the locating peg at the top) but mine won't budge.
I've put the Rad back on the car for now and may have to resort to using Radweld.

Has anyone successfully replaced the O ring at the bottom of the integral expansion tank after removing the rad from the car?

It looks as if the tank should separate upwards from the rad (once the top plate held with the 2 Torx screws is removed) but due its shape it won't bluddy budge !

FWIW there is plenty of room on the 4 cylinder. Changing the fan belt on my 1998, no aircon was very easy once the fan shroud was removed. Tools required are a 15mm socket and a long bar to unwind the tensioner to release the old belt and fit the new. You can even strap the bar to the anti-roll bar ...

I don't think there's any need to worry. I believe the failure is caused by the rubber splitting. You've got many years to go after fitting new ones. Another option might be to find a Classic Car Upholstery Shop who should make you a new custom window & sewn in.
A friend had a new MGB window made and fitted for £40 in 2005.

I would love to have manual seats as we have had the passenger seat motor hunting resulting in a flat battery. The quick fix is to pull the fuse.
Might be best to position the seat down and backwards first.

Should be the sump plug washer.
At my motor factors, I always check before buying that the 2 small O rings and the large O ring are present, as there are cheeky garages who buy the filter, then take the bits out and bring the filter back for a refund....

No heatgun needed, you just need to find some black heatshrink to be a near fit on the plastic. Not too thick or it will prevent the seatbelt from retacting.

All year, but be aware that dropping the top in a sub 5C ambient is likely to result in a cracked rear screen. Do make sure you tell the other half.

No, a clutch change on a RWD car used to be fairly easy, provided one has the strength to take the weight of the G/box when lying on your back.
Its the male Torx heads that baffle me.
