You need to ground a pin on the 17 pin connector for a few seconds.

Just looking at the safety. Firstly you would be swapping out seats that are strong enough to support a rollover. OK if you have roll hoops. Secondly, the seatbelt pretensioner would need to be retained. Thirdly later cars have an occupancy sensor that you could bypass if you wanted to fire all airb...

I've always found big merc seats like sitting on one of these. The Crysler crossfire (SLK based) was the same. http://www.istockphoto.com/file_thumbview_approve/3502334/2/istockphoto_3502334-playground-horse.jpg Apparently their 7 speed auto is silky smooth though, having been developed in ten thous...

Re: F1 - China
Has anyone seen this yet? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/8624276.stm Oh dear! Lucky that no one was hurt, I was under the impression the wheels would never come off a F1 car these days. Apparently not. I wonder what Buemi's reaction on the radio system would have been The te...

TBH I cant tell any difference, I was not looking for any really as even a Full cat replacement pipe on my MR2 was not noticable. It is a tiny bit louder if anything - it is much smaller and I guess and does not have 50k miles of carbon build up in it. Interesting, changing to a sports cat on mine ...

Eh? What? They were certainly NOT standard in Europe as early as 1997 and I am not sure that they were even standard post-facelift, though a lot of post-facelift cars did get them specced as an option, there are post-facelift cars that came without them. What is true is that from 1997 on, all Europ...

API I think is an application call. If the lowest level function (Ediabas) isn't running, then that will maybe cause a API call fail. You don't need Tool32. Can you start Ediabas.exe manually first? Edit: Check me out Homes. INPA starts EdiaBas on mine automatically, but there is no harm in starting...

I'd forget it and find another one. Agreed. The lack of an original service book and any other receipts/history would swing it for me. If the previous owner couldn't be bothered to look after this and include it then it doesn't send a great message about how well the car's been treated. The other i...

All of the above, but fold the seat far forward, and centre the seat frame on the rails before disconnecting the battery. Wait a few seconds after unplugging the battery before unpluggging the seatbelt pretensioners. This makes it as compact as possible for lifting out, and stops any nasty seat rail...
