Also in answer to the child seat question, haven't ever bought one myself but when you do just make sure you check out the airbag requirements as some say to turn the airbag off on the passenger side if you fit a child seat

Oh and forgot to mention, I've decided to bite the bullet and give this car more muscle after the summer is out so any engine mods are out the window this summer, will only be working on cosmetics and handling. I'm on the hunt for a Chevvy LSX series engine or donor car - yep, I'm an idiot!

Re: Has anyone gone 235/40/18 on the front?
The rolling diameter is fine in regards to the guideline 2.5% either way - 235/40/18 front (+2.22% or +14mm) - (these tyres came with the wheels) 255/35/18 rear (+0.79% or 5mm) BUT! At higher motorway speeds the traction control is cutting in meaning that it doesn't like the difference in rolling di...

On the subject of lowering, am I right to think that any E36 lowering springs fit the front and any E30 lowering springs fit the rear?
Not sure if I just have dodgy front shocks which I'll check first but mine feels like it needs 30mm drop on the front but at least 40mm on the rear, if not more

I think most BMW shows really let the side down last year. Gaydon was poor and Santa Pod wasn't great either so we're steering clear this year and going for some general car meets.
