Another quick question on this matter.
Hopefully weather depending I can get my seats and door cards changed tomorrow.
My question is when removing/ installing the door cards should the windows be up or down. Possibly a strange question but just don't want any issues.

My polished set arrived today. Top work southern boy!

Hope it gets it sorted for you! My 2 cents on auto box issues. I didnt have any particular problem with mine but at 140k miles i made a filter and oil change and the difference was definetly for the good gear change speed was up aswell as smoothness and it became alot more responsive. Yeah that was a fairly good deal for both.

I actually won an auction on eBay for one came in at just under 100 quid. Good deal I thought. Each one I believe is designed to each specific engine though as even the instructions for mine is pictured with the m44 engine. Fitment is almost spot on. A modification I also looked into.
I was intending on having the m badge taken off and filled but at the time I was looking for them they were a fairly expensive mod I just couldnt justify.

The air supply hole below the LH headlamp does not do anything on non-M models, as it is not connected (as on an M Roadster) to a scoop which is fed from the front of the car. That is why I made up my cold air inlet pipe, as per the article above. Why do you want to fit a 'high flow' filter? Any ga...

Hi guys thanks for your opinions. Stormy_be your comments certainly give some food for thought but I need to admit im with Southern boy on the issue. The filter including housing is a high spec piece of kit which i feel offers very good protection and leaves no concerms for me within the engine bay....

Yeah thats a good idea actually. I know that the 1.9 has an air scoop that is attached to the frame mount by two simple nuts. If i get the car back and it is symetrical then i should be able to mount it on the other side. I just wonder because i have seen people also mount an air feed from the lower...

I believe its the current issue i only picked it up a couple days ago.

I have a Haynes manual for mine it comes as apart of the e36 3 series manual. It does list specific chapters for z3 cars.
As for the electric roof issue I can't help. I have a manual roof. Might not be flashy but reliable I guess lol

I'd be seriously tempted to fit the wide arches. I just don't think the insurance company would be very kind to the body modification. It is something I will keep on the back burner for when iv got some spare cash and could justify dabbling a little.

Do pre and post face lift models fit either model?
I have a 97 pre face lift model and I have an offer of two door cards from a 2001 model. At first glance they appear the same just to be sure.

Hi guys into response to the how many of each product required, this is what i used.
2 grey primer
3 bmw artic silver
2 Clear Coat
All were used except about half of each of the last cans.
So got some left for a touch up if you let the women drive them!

I waiting for my Stewart water pump to arrive and then fit that and a new thermostat and housing new antifreeze and a good old flush through. Im not familiar with the stewart water pump model. Is this a pump that comes with the metal housing rather than the rubber as i know this is highly recommend...
