Isn't a true tonneau cover one that fits over all the cockpit for when you park up but don't want to put the roof back up? On the old sports cars opening and closing the roof was probably a fiddly and time consuming operation so these tonneaus were probably a quick and easier way of weatherproofing...

i'm gonna have to do more checking on this, what's the fuel tank size again? Wanna make sure i've got all my figures right. It doesn't matter what the tank size is the only accurate way to test is the fill the tank to the brim and trip the clock, then when you refill the tank to the brim see what m...

My key is a small, normal looking cut key, so that is maybe why I was told that they are all different? And it is for turning off the siren. That sounds like a aftermarket alarm has been fitted at some time in its life. The early cars (up to 1999 I think) were fitted with the 3G EWS alarm this was ...

All the keys are the same so hopefully somebody near you will loan you one to switch it back on. Mine was like yours (indicators only, no sound) and I had it turned back on. Hi Sam. You are confusing me a bit. If you have the 1.9 as i had before the M, then the side lights are different, as they are on the bumper on an M, and in the headlights on a Z3 1.9. Can one elaborate :squeeze: I thought that the position of sidelights on all except the M depended on whether they...

Recently purchased a 2.8. Little suprised at the fuel consumption  What should I get from a full tank? Only getting around 200 mile, methinks something is wrong? Tried driving it like an old woman, fuel consumption was worse? That’s all I get for town driving/short journeys, There are many p...

The red light in the centre of a blanking plate was to turn off the sensors on the top corners of the windscreen, switching off the alarm in the cabin while the hood was down, this was on earlier cars with the 3G EWS type alarm.
