I wouldn’t worry about it Crazyp, sounds about right to me, this subject is always popping up and everybody is different, as is their driving habit/conditions. In all the years I‘ve owned my 2.8 I only get around 19 to 20 mpg in a normal week (tested brim to brim), I fill up when it gets down to hal...

On the Z4UM I saw a post about a site that has a vehicle data check so thought I would take a look, after checking my car reg I checked a couple of others, then thought about a number that I nearly brought 20 odd years ago when I brought mine, it is now on a Z3 Roadster, even the same year as mine.....
The GobalSat BT-318 Bluetooth Receiver that I now use has a battery life of 15 hours plus, more than the battery life of the iPAQ, but can be run/charged from the car's lighter plug with supplied Y cable that also charges the iPAQ, it lives in the compartment by the handbrake and picks up the satell...

As I put in another post, I first used a Road Angel 2 as the GPS source, I now use a GlobalSat BT-318 Bluetooth GPS Receiver with my iPAQ 4150, everything was got from www.globalpositioningsystems.co.uk who are a good company to deal with. I use TomTom 3 for the maps although I’m just trying to get ...

I thought I would post this in case there are any iPAQ users that don’t know about it. Although I have a Road Angel 2, for the last few weeks I have been playing with the Speed Camera data base available free from http://www.pocketgps.co.uk/uksafetycameras.php this database is used with CheckPOInt 3...

Looks like its back to the dust cap poll of a few weeks ago. Last week while parked at the Bowling Centre some people came over to tell me that there were kids hanging around my car. Then some more people came in to say the same, I went out and put my Road Angel in the boot, but it was the cap’s the...

There's been a few post's about Sat Nav on here and a few people seem to use iPAQ's. What desktop themes do people use? Heres the one I use. The site I got it from has various Z3, Z4 & M3 themes

The mounting kit I use for my iPAQ (see above posting for photos) had a vent mounting with it, but the fixings were slightly too big to go through the vents. Another vent mounting kit I brought with the iPAQ went into the vents ok, but looked too tricky to remove so didn't use it. I also played abou...

I am always amazed / envious at the mpg figures on the board postings. I have had a 2.8 Roadster now for nearly 3 years and have only seen 21mpg on the OBC a couple of times, mostly its 19 or 20 mpg. In true terms I fill up when it gets to half a tank (about 100 miles), fill it so I can see the fuel...

I picked up a nail in a rear wheel last week, by the time I noticed it the tyre had gone partly down, I took it to a friends garage to get it fixed, and he told me the side wall had worn a bit (looked ok to me) but he showed me the inside, not only was there rubber granules inside you could see a wh...

Terry's files may be no good for you as you are running Widows 98SE, he might be using a later Windows version. there is a very good install info file in PDF format on their site, that shows you stage by stage (in pictures) how to install. Still think the USB port may be playing up as in my earlier ...

I think it is all to do with the USB port. I can connect my Road Angel 2 to my laptop with no problems, but when I connected it to one of my PC's it didn't want to know, I tried it in the other USB port on the front and it worked ok. I then used a game pad in that USB port and now both USB ports on ...

Anybody who has one fitted do I need a extra antenna as stated in the clip from the quick ref guide, before drive 40 miles to get one (hard to find anybody who has them in stock) and find it doesn't work without one.
