Mine is now on 123,000-ish miles and still going strong. Which still is not a high mileage, only 8785 miles per year (Mine's a 2000 model year). Looks perfectly normal to me. A little knowledge can be a dangerous thing - one of the (few) disadvantages of the 'net. You can't see the bead when a tyre is correctly fitted and inflated, and what you are (presumably) referring to is not the bead . Why should it be any different on the other three?...

You will see that water ingress into the cabin is one of the most popular questions asked. Most probably coming in as a result of the old window seal losing its effectiveness above the "quarterlight"

Believe it or not, but Lidl do a great battery charger/conditioner.

I bought couple in 2012 and they are a great piece of kit.

£11.99 each if I recall and with a three year warranty too.

They were on offer at the time but the offer has been repeated several times since.

I've been using a transmitter type to play music off my iphone through the cars speakers on a spare FM frequency. It's ok but not brilliant.

I must admit that I was wondering if I could have made it cost effective as a daily driver to replace my 2.0 Z3, but hesitated at the 24 mpg and the generally higher running costs when averaging 30,000 miles per year.

Usually ragtops fetch more than closed cars, but not with Z3Ms.
