I have just sold my partners 206 on there. Opted for the 2 weeks and one printed copy at £34.00. It took 10 days to sell (on the wednesday before the Thursday publication). Nevertheless, it was to virtually the first caller, but took 10 days for the first interest to be shown. When the mag came out,...

I went down the aux-in route with a Kenwood Headunit that has Aux-in. I simply attach my phone which has Mp3's etc and select aux-in. It wont hold as many tracks as an ipod, but it serves my purpose. I also get the benefit of having the phone going through the aux-in, as well as sat nav etc etc...yo...

Does your M take on a different Zorst/engine noise when hot?
I have noticed that when i first start up the M from cold, its quite plain in engine noise and exhaust noise. But after the engine gets hot, say 10 miles or so of driving, the engine / exhaust notes change. The exhaust emits a satisfying hum with a sweet-spot at about 1500rpm. Is this normal? My car...

Wing mirror mount corrosion
Hi, Is anybody else seeing any "corrosion" (paint slightly bubbled) on the wing mirror mount. My car is a 98 estoril M. I did a quick search on this but came up with nothing. I am sure i remember reading up about this on an american site. Is it a recall? Had anybody else found thier mirror...

Hi Paul, thanks for the suggestion. I actually found a rpm signal from inside the loom which sits above the engine. Anybody else looking for a signal could use this. There is a cable box at the back of the engine, sits on top of the engine just behind and parrallel to the accellerator cable. Unclip ...

Well..... feedback from race logic was the black wire. I undid 2 of the coils and saw that it looks like they all have 3 wires (same colours in each coil). I traced the black wires which then connect to the striped wires as you explained (tonycal). On racelogics advice, i tried the black, but now th...

Traction Control Failure....Advice needed! Fixed Now i think
Hi, I got my Race Logic Traction Control fitted at the weekend and git chance to have a play with it tonight. Mainly the Launch Control. On wet setting, it was set at about 4000 rpm. I know it was working as upon pressing the LC button and pressing the accellerator, the car only rev'ved to 4000 rpm....

As i said to Paul yesterday, my only critisism of the TC kit is the size of the box and the enormous knob on the front. I found it fits just above the ignition nicely (still looks ugly though), but i am toying with the idea of putting it on the opposite side. I checked my limits last night and they ...

Not sure what it all means to be honest with you. I wonder what Race Logic make of it? Are BMW fixing your car under warranty? I just signed up for the group buy Warranty Direct, and it does cover the Vanos, but will it be void if it goes wrong and the TC is the cause? Has anybody else had the TC fi...
