On the 1066 going from Diss, towards Thetford, passed a lovely looking light blue Z3 with KEV in the numberplate. We both had tops down, absorbing the sunshine. (You have to watch out for deer on that road, especially around dusk).

The ABS light often doesnt reset immediately. I find it usually takes a couple of journeys before resetting.

There is a tool called something like an easi-out . It' s like a tap but with a left hand thread. You drill a hole down the centre and screw the tap in. This will unscrew the bolt.

The bolts are have allen heads on them if they are the original. They sheer off easily so be careful. Lots of WD40 soaking.

I've got the same year and same engine as yours and I used to have the same problem. Even when the car is running fine part of the enjoyment is tempered as you are waiting for that orange light to come on. And when it did , you are in limp mode with no acceleration. This site is a lot better than a Haynes manual. Just do a search and theres lots on the wheel sensors. It's a simple job but if the sensors havent been off for a while they get corroded in and need lots of WD40 soaked in. The front ones are generally harder as they are more exposed to the elements. ...

It's probably the wheel sensors that need cleaning. Theres plenty of information on the site how to do this and it's theoretically an easy job. However they do get corroded in and so can be difficult to remove, especially the front ones. Keep spraying WD40 on them and leave to soak in. Dont put too ...

Ive had that happen to mine. I can't quite remember how I fixed it, but it is fixable so dont bin it. As swamper says, the system will reset itself if the problem has been cured. The front sensors are more likely to be the problem as these pick up more stuff from the road then the back ones. Lots of wd40 over a few days could get them moved, but the important thing is not to put to much pressure on ...
