It ruins the look of a Z3 IMHO. The money spent purchasing and preparing a spoiler would pay for a remap or strut/body brace, which from my point of view is more desirable.

I quite fancy the idea of using a wax you can apply by hand to rub it on, would autoglym HD wax be suitable? The wax I suggested is applied by hand or by applicator. Try the "fogged airbox" modification. Costs a massive £5 roughly, and half an hour of your spare time.

One thing, though : Get rid of the sponge for washing the Z. You'll end up with thousands of swirl marks marring the finish. Use a microfibre washmitt instead. :wink:

Is that an application and leave for an hour then buff off? Exactly that. And it wasn't dumb at all, I should have explained it a bit clearer. Make sure to apply to a cloth first, it has an almost water-like consistency (this time no foam applicators! :lol: ), and apply to the paint in thin layers....

I just use cotton detailing cloths from halfords, not microfibre ones, to apply and then buff off with the Meg's Microfibre cloths. If I'm using a polish that contains a cutting compound (Scratch X or AutoGlym SRP) then I'll bring out a foam applicator.

Going by the description above, I'd hede a bet that a full respray is in order as I don't know of anyway to remove the clear coat without damaging the paint beneath. To remove the current coat of lacquer would involve sanding down, which would also dig into the paint layer slightly meaning a respray...

30 mm has been noted to be the best drop effect from springs/coilovers, both from an aesthetic and looks point of view. Anything more than that risks rubbing and IMO doesn't look right. If it were me, I'd look for another kit as having a minimum drop of 40mm is too much.
