If you search you tube there is a guy on there showing you how to replace the bushes, I followed his instructions and replaced the bushes on my seats. It was straight forward. :D

I agree when I decided to replace my seat belt guide I didn't know weather to do it proberly or some other method. :rtm: But once I had replaced it properly I also was over the moon with myself :D :D :D

Just bought my hose from Earls and there was an adaptor in the package :) I think that they are just sending them out with any order of the clutch hose to save mess their customers about.

If you buy a new battery charger as well, why not see if your old battery still has any life in it? Only doing 100 miles since christmas would proberly flatten most car batteries, considering the cold weather we have had in the early part of the year.

My off side mirror was damaged, and when I did find a second hand one it was £130, so I priced it at the dealers and it was only £150, only £20 more than a second hand one :head: I also had to pay £25 to have it painted at a local spray shop. Bye the way the new one does not come with the glass part...

I replaced my bulbs a few months ago, it was a bit fidly. All I did was remove the radio, then I could put my hand inside and was able to feel around to remove and replace the bulb.

My doors were stiff when I bought my car, more so the passengers side as I assume that it didn't get used as much. I just kept putting on WD40, and then opening and closing them a few times to help the WD40 get within the hinge.
They are fine now :D

Hi The bottom corners of my soft top where the rear window meets the mohair top is starting to come away :cry: . Is there any special glue I can use, or can I just use a contact adhesive. As myredzed stated my z3 is 12 years old too, and the soft top is original and also water tight, although I have never used any rubber care on the seals :head: I think I'll have to start. I do clean it and reproof it once a year.

To reply to calbens, making the template was the easiest job, I just held the hardboard onto the hoops and drew round. As far as the tile saw goes all I can say is, to have a go on a scrap piece of perspex before cutting out the wind breaker.

Thanks for the comments. I used 4mm thick perspex and it seems fine with no wobbles at speed, although I've never been to 120mph :devil: I'll keep a look out for the ties in Wilkinsons. 8-)

Clutch Cable

I totally agree, when I first got my Z3 the lights in the cab were very dim, and untill I went to a car show, talking to another Z3 owner who informed me that the headlight switch makes them brighter. :head: But, a bulb that had blown, I replaced it by removing the radio. Thanks for all this information :) , I did change the oil when I first got my Z3, not knowing about the two small 'o' rings :head: , as they were not in the filter box, only the large one. But I'll be sure to change them the next time I do an oil change.
