I've borrowed a Meguiars Dual Action Polisher to tidy up the paintwork on my van and all going well will give the Zed a blast as well.

Cheers all... Over the past couple of years two relatives have had cars nicked. On both occasions they gained access to the house via the double glazed front door which hadn't been double locked, handle pulled up etc., and nicked the keys. The suggestion with this latest spate is that they don't nee...

How nickable are Z3's?
Bit of background to the question. Earlier this week about 50 yards up the road from us an Audi RS4 was stolen off the drive. On the same night a Ford Fiesta was stolen and just last night a mates daughter had her car stolen, again from the driveway of the house. Today as I was putting the finishing...

Body shop sounds extreme as I reckon i've got about a square inch of repairs to do and 98% of that is barely noticeable and on the spoiler. Going for an MOT next weekend and the garage has sister company that does bodywork so will ask them for an idea of price. Completely random choice of Mustang an...

I, or rather my Z3 has a very small 2mm diameter blister in the paintwork on the edge of the fuel filler bodywork. Are you sure you don't just need to grease the mechanism a little? When the door is shut properly, does it like up correctly with the rear panel? If so, that would suggest that there's not really an alignment issue and that it is just the mechanism binding a little. I'll try a bit of WD40 and repor...

Despite the seatbelt action being exactly the same since I bought zeddie 6 years ago, slow retraction has been mentioned as an advisory on the MOT :rtm: It is a minor irritant at times so time to sort I guess. Passenger side door - clunnk.......closes perfectly every time.
On the drivers side I frequently find that I pull or push the door shut and have to do it a second time with a little more welly so some minor adjustment is needed but it's not obvious as to how this is achieved?

I've previously stuck mine on using double sided high bond sign tape. One is fine, the other has dropped off a couple of times. Other methods have been suggested on here before but i've not wanted to ladle glue on the handles.

Re: New steering rack - stiffness...
Just as a matter of interest, was the steering rack a brand new OEM item bought from BMW or was it a second hand item? Re: New steering rack - stiffness...
Hi, the fault seems to be with the new steering rack. If you go lock to lock with out the engine running then do the same with the engine running there should be a massive difference. This eliminates the power assisted side of the system. Next jack the car up, remove both track rod ends and see if ...
