estocks, screen is Xenarc 700IDT. I have used a few different sat nav packages, Navigator - probably best so far, also freedrive / map monkey - not bad and can both be embedded in dashboard software. But, none of the pc sat nav packages are as simple or easy to use as Tomtom. So, my latest solution ...

Hi Hopper and welcome, On your central locking, try lockin the car with the key from the passenger side, or the boot, if the drivers side still doesnt lock then its definitely the door lock solenoid. They are a pain to fix, although some on here have done it themselves. I got both mine replaced last...

To add further to Mikes point as well, Out of all the failed Vanos Units, do we have any idea which ones go more frequently? By this I mean, I am told BMW used 2 different Vanos Units, one made by Rolls Royce and one by another manufacturer (of whom I can't remember). My Vanos is made by Rolls Royce...

I am a little more hardcore than that, been in BMW convertibles now for 10yrs+. I like the hot weather, i like the cold, i like the night, nighttime with the top down, great. I only have this hard top because i have never had a convertible with a hard top before. It does give the ///M a different lo...

The 1.9 was an auto so it was a different kind of drive, more of a cruiser. I got rid of it when it hit 103,000 miles and was getting a few niggly problems (roof, brakes need doing, lots of small things mounting up). I then had a 325i Convertible for a year but missed the Z. Moving up to an ///M is ...

Was last yrs Warranty Direct GB worth it for you?
Last year 25 or so Zroadster members bought into a warranty from Warranty Direct. There was lots of criticism regarding Warranty Direct and what was / was not covered, but at £290 for 13 months, it was worth a punt. My policy expires in March and i assume many others will be expiring in the coming m...

Insurance companies and wheels, its a con!
Original BMW wheels are usually more expensive to replace from BMW than decent aftermarket alternatives. Hence, if i changed my wheels for a different set of rims, it would be cheaper for the insurance company to replace those than a set of original BMW rims.....with me so far....so why do we have t...

Adrian Flux Insurance, any good? Or stick with First Alterna
Hi guys, I am about to renew my insurance with First Alternative. Thier renewal is cheaper than last year but still £904. I decided to ring round and found Adrian Flux from the BMW Car Club magazine.
