Nov Cruise: Holmfirth/Glossop/Buxton

Post by jontymo »

Ok its time to arrange our cruise for November :)

November 28th Sunday we will be aiming to start at Mcdonalds at the Tankersley junction (35a or 36) of the M1 at 10.00am

We will be putting a route together that stops at Holmfirth for a morning coffee, then over to Derbyshire incorporating Glossop, up the Snake Pass then into Castleton, Buxton etc etc, we will aim to get a good days driving with great views (depending on the weather) and plenty of stops for photo's, coffee and chatting. We will plan the lunch stop when we know numbers.

Have a look at Swampers video in the Lets Talk index under "big thanks" for some interesting footage of the roads from today

Everyone is welcome, as the saying goes "the more the merrier".

For you guys who have put your Z's away you can still come (but will be at the back)

Good i shouldnt be on call for this. You want to try and incorperate Harpur Hill going into Buxton on the route. Will give me a chance to see if the uprated suspension and remap help the car. OOH and maybe this time i wont set my brakes on fire, but jamezee can keep his pop on hand just incase

Nice pics, is that castleton, winnats pass?
I only managed the Greenfield to Holmfirth and then the 'Oopnurthring' , Jackie nearly got a face full of pheasant when one flew up from the side of the road, it just missed the top of the screen, I must admit i ducked (I remember the smashed screen on a mini on the yorkshire cruise)
