by theduck
I have arranged a rolling road day open to one and all, will be multiple clubs in attendance. If anyone's interested put your name on the list below

What?
A rolling road day with feedback and advice from a professional motorsport engineer.m, oh and free drinks and nibbles!

Where?
Tour de Force Power Engineering Limited
Unit V3 Grovemere Court
Bicton Industrial Park
Kimbolton
Huntingdon
Cambridgeshire
PE28 0EY

When?
9am Sunday 5th February

How much?
£35 per car

Everything else
We'll be limited to 20 cars for the day to ensure that everyone not only gets their power run but will get proper feedback on their runs and advice on improvements, future modifications etc.

For those in the Birmingham area I'll arange a convoy from Corley Services southbound on the M6 departing at 8am sharp, I'll be there from about 7:30am.

Think that covers everything except list of attendees, as places are limited please only put your name down as running a car if you are definately attending, to put your name on the list jsut copy and paste the bit below and add your name and what car you are bringing along.

For more info on the rolling road: http://www.tour-de-force.co.uk/power-testing.html

and info from TDF about their club dyno days: http://www.tour-de-force.co.uk/club-dyno-days.html

Ah, that's a little too far away for me to attend - shame :(

Thanks for organising, I'm sure you'll get some takers on here.

Thanks for the positive feedback. They are always a great day, and hoping this one will be that little more interesting as it's the first multi club one I have done. Just need some attendees from mOre than just the Renault lot!

I'd love to do this, but the car's still on axle stands. I'd really struggle to make the 5th Feb. Maybe another time?

Liam & Barry
How about the Fishing Lodge at Grafham Water, turn right on A1 at the roundabout at Buckden for Grafham Water.

We could meet in the Car Park at the Harbour View Restaurant at West Perry, just opposite the B661 turning for Kimbolton at 8.15am :thumb:

PM for you, Barry

I sent my steering wheel off to Royal Steering Wheels 3 weeks ago for recovering and it still isn't done. I was promised delivery today and was let down. Now delivery isn't until the 7th. I'm not a happy bunny,

Oh no, Macca, Let's hope you get it back in time for 19th. I've got an old Landrover wheel you can have if not :head:

WEATHER UPDATE

All looks good at the moment with no snow down at TDF, Matt is going to let me know if this changes and I'll update the thread if things change.

UPDATE

Just spoken to Matt and can confirm tomorrow's rolling road day is now CANCELLED due to the weather conditions. They have approximately over 2inches of snow there and still falling heavy.

On a side note be careful if you are having to venture out, some major roads including the M42 have not been gritted!

It as been snowing here since 6pm and is drifting quite badly now, if it keeps up like this, we won't even be able to get up and out of our drive, never mind to Kimbolton.

Yeah it's about 3inches here too

We think it is more than 3", seems more like 6" now, Liam, here are some pics from a journey to pick our daughter up from her work in Ely at 11.30pm. This is usually a 15 min journey, which even using the Landrover, became over an hours adventure each way. We passed several strickened vehicles including a Mazda MX5 trying to get up the hill. Some of the drifts on the road were at least 18" in places, more like North Yorkshire than the Fens.

Hope Caroline got home Ok and Mark reached Wales in his Rover snowplough :)

After seeing the MX5 struggling earlier, we are glad that The Rolling Road at Tour de Force has been cancelled today, disappointing though as we were looking forward to it. Hopefully another time. :(

This one is from our Patio

Just to confirm this will be er-arranged, just waiting on better weather to ensure this doesnt happen again!

Hiya, when you do re-arrange it, please start a new thread or change the name of the thread. It means we can see, at a glance, that things have changed.

Many thanks.
