Great! Nine cars now so we will have a couple of groups. I'm thinking the route will be similar to my last cruise in July. The roads were great and it will be perfect if we get a dry day.

I'll have it on my TomTom. I've sent you a link by PM. Keep it a surprise for the ones who didn't do it last time!!

Don't forget your 40p's. I was nearly caught out when diverting when the A1/A19 was blocked in the snow  .

Well its looking good now with 13 cars. My car is on the road again now so all is good from me.

8 have not ordered lunch yet so if you could check out the menu and send me a pm that would be good.

With so many cars we need to run at least 2 groups so I need another group leader - any takers? - Aceman, Rich, Gary...?

I have the route sorted and can send a .itn (and garmin) file out next week. If you want it send me a mail to mk.dean@o2.co.uk and you will get a mail back from me.

Cheers,
Mark

Hi Deano,

I am a bit reluctant to order food just yet as I have a problem with the zed. I have a sticky caliper piston which is making the brakes overheat just a little bit!

I have a recon caliper ready to fit but knowing my luck some disater will strike while I am doing it. Can I send my menu choice on Monday?

Hi stevesace

I live not far from Durham so meeting at durham services would be great.

I thought about 7.45 to 8.00 to meet, what do you think :?:

Have you got a Google maps (or equivalent) version of the route Mark? I don't need the .itn file as I don't have a TomTom or Garmin but always like to have route print in the zed in the event that the group (or me) gets lost

Shame my Z isn't on the road yet or i think i'd of attended this one! Out of curiosity, what are the cruises like on this website?? For example, my previous car had a fan-site and i attended one cruise only to find out it was full of people who had chipped their engine and were having a Formula 1 style race. Do people here actually cruise? Or does it turn into a bit of a ''i've got a faster Z than you'' race?

Re: Yorkshire Cruise Saturday 14th April 2012

Generally speaking the events are all 'cruises'. Some might be quite fast but definately not races.

A couple of Zs are off to Germany today, via France. We join up with them tomorrow and the driving might be quick but never a race. If we get to the Nordschliefe a week tomorrow that might be even quicker!!!

Definatly wasn't a race today and quite a pleasant spirited drive. Weather wise it was a bit mixed with showers and brilliant sunshine.

Great day and good to meet old and new faces. :D

Great day out, it was really good to put faces to names and how friendly everyone was :D

Although the rain was quite heavy when I left home by the time I get to the meeting point the sun was shining :sunny

Some of us did go astray but we all seemed to arrive at the destination where we had coffee or something to eat. Those TomTom things seem to know all the roads :rtm:

A big thank you to Deano1712 for organising everything and to Aceman who was pressed into second in command.

Only trouble now is that I have to clean the car :head:

Thanks, Deano et al.
