Now back from a wet and windy Ireland - fortunately when we flew out last week we'd just landed at Shannon as they closed Cork and Dublin airports due to the high winds but managed to keep Shannon open - just about!!! Landing at Shannon was an experience with the plane tramlining all over the place.

We'll probably be in the Z4 this weekend (saving the Z3 for Newby) and I'll PM you a contact number should anything change whilst we're away.

Hi Fender

We've been a bit busy and only just learned about this visit - thanks for the tip off Aceman ;)
Definitely interested as neither of us have ever been to Beamish despite passing by on countless occasions
We'll join the party at Bowburn Services. Is 0900 the agreed time?
Will PM you my mobile number in case of last minute changes

Hi Terry - we're aiming to be at the services at 09:00 to meet up with those coming up from Ferrybridge as we're going up to Northumberland today and staying over.

Apart from the weather which we of course had no control over it was a brilliant day out. In total 72 cars turned up, with quite a number from Scotland and Yorkshire. Yes indeed there was beautiful looking Z8 which travelled down from Edinburgh. The idea is I think to repeat the event for next year, hopeful a slightly later booking date in May can arranged as long as it doesn't clash with other established events. It will be hot topic tomorrow, Wednesday 1st April, at the BMWNECC meeting at the Dun Cow Bournmoor just off the A1 at Chester Le Street. Pop along for a natter if you can.
