Kent Village Mini-Cruise Sunday 8th September 2013

I'm looking to do mini-cruise, not a lot of miles, 40ish. We meet at Tesco Pembury TN2 4NE at 10.30 a.m. and leave at 11 a.m. So you can still have a Sunday lay-in. :) We will be going through many Kent villages and at finishing at Headcorn Aerodrome where we can have lunch/picnic, depending on the weather. At the Aerodrome there is a lot to see, light planes taking off and landing on a regular basis, parachutists, you can also book a short flight. There is also a museum and a café. http://www.headcornaerodrome.co.uk/

If it is too chilly for a picnic, I have a quirky tea room in mind for lunch, only 2 miles away. http://bloomsburysbiddenden.com/

This cruise will only take place if there is no rain forecast. If the forecast is not good, the cruise will be run at a later date, so it will be a top down cruise. :drive :drive :drive

This is the proposed route. https://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?msid= ... 8,0.824661

Anyone wish to join us.

Ragtop ............. Ron & Gail
Burrie .............. Dave & Sue
Alan W ............. Alan & Kay
BrianBZ1 ........... Brian & Sue
Exocet...............Ian & Debbie

Hi Ian, I had just clicked on the forum to give a weather update and saw your post. Yes the weather looks good for tomorrow with plenty of sun and light winds, just a possible shower around noon.

I will keep an eye on the forecast and unless it changes drastically the cruise is on. I will post on here if the cruise is off tonight.

Not sure if it will be warm enough for a picnic so we have decided to get a meal deal from Tesco Pembury if it turns out it is warm enough. If not warm enough we will go the café in Biddenden.
