September Welsh Cruise

Post by TaffZee » Mon 07 Apr, 2014 15:07

After Billz & Mozz's sterling work on the 6th April, and the brilliant company, I am planning a run around North Wales, this takes in most of the best roads and scenery that North Wales has to offer (Including the EVO) and a run around the Great Orm (Small Toll Charge), Over the Menai Bridge into Anglesey and over the Britannia Bridge off the Island.
Register your interest and I will make it happen, Confirmed date is the 14th September . This is a full day 200+ miles, but this can be shortened to suit.
Lunch stop at: Tafyrn Ty Gwyn In Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch :shake:

Lets keep this one together please, accept for the occasional road I would like to keep the cars as a group and not spread out, as part of the route can be very busy, and it is so easy to loose someone, please keep in contact with the car behind you.

I have put together some postcodes for re group points around the route Just In Case we do lose anyone. These are not stopping points unless stated.

Sweeper (Last Vehicle) is the only vehicle to have lights on please, unless the weather dictates otherwise.

There is an excellent article from Spokey on here regarding cruise Etiquette.

The Lunch stop will be a carvery, is that OK with everyone? If not let me know and I will see if I can get a menu posted up, as it will be best if we pre order any other meals other than the carvery..

Well spotted Bas, it effects one road at the very begining, so wil be rerouting for that short stage, not a problem though as it was a detour I wanted to take in due to a photograph opportunity.

I did see you the other day TaffZee, haha. Took me about 10 minutes to realise what was going on
Was going to ask about the road closures in the area, did see a few signs up for diverting traffic. Fingers crossed for the weather, as last weekend was bloody gorgeous.
bought a GoPro today as I'm going traveling on the Tuesday, so going to test it out on Sunday :) :)

Hi TaffZee and all.

I had hoped to get along to this little jolly as I'm long overdue a visit to all my rellies in N Wales and could've combined the two, but unfortunately it turns out we can't make it happen this weekend and we will be making the trip the following weekend instead. Shame. :bawl:

I know most of the roads on your itinerary and it's a FAB route!
Hopefully Alfie, Mrs Alfie and RED might find time to cover some of the same tarmac a week after you lot!

Hope you all have a grand day out and I'll look forward to seeing the photos and hearing the stories.

Cheers!
Alfie.

Wasnt sure it was you, just seen a zed and gave a wave, should be a good day once we clear Llangollen. Trouble with the nice weather as you know it brings everyone out on the roads, but a few of the roads on the cruise are not well used so should be able to get some spirited driving in.

With the good weather predicted, and the fab roads in North Wales and a fantastic fun car, is there but one choice!

Hopefully the weather will hold up. Looking forward to the run tomorrow - hope its going to be as fast as Deano's last month.

Confirming I will be with a passenger. Not sure about lunch as I am not a carvery fan but my passenger is.

See you all tomorrow.
