Newby Hall Spring Meeting Sunday 8th May

by Zed Carer
For full details visit the CITP (Cars in the Park) website - HERE

Details for Newby Hall can be found HERE

CITP is sharing the day with the Spring Plant Fair so there is usually plenty of visitors that day.

We'll be starting from Ferrybridge Services as usual around 08:30 / 08:45 and calling to join up with any other zeds at Wetherby Services (09:15) and Morrisons at Boroughbridge (09:30 / 09:45). Getting our tickets is on my to-do list - Ticket now purchased & printed!

Unfortunately this year there are a number of other events that clash with Newby so I expect that we will be a bit light on the ground this year.

As long as we are all registered on CITP as Zed Roadster Group and arrive together we will be parked together in the appropriate section, if there is a late surge and we get to 10 then I'll contact Chris to get our own parking area.

There seems to be a DEAFENING SILENCE from fellow Zeders about this fantastic day out (or am I looking in the wrong place?)

There is ONE Z3 pre registered to go on the day.

Shame on us.

I am adding my car to make it TWO (pathetic)

Come on lads (and lasses) lets make sure that there are more Z3's than the Ford Anglia river conversion special (with the optional 4.1hp engine) attending.

Grunt..................

I've edited the first post and will sort out meeting up with other Zeds. This year CITP need a minimum of 10 registered cars to have a separate parking area but if we all arrive together we'll all be parked together.

I've just bought my ticket, so we now have three Z3s attending so far. Where is everyone this year?

Clearly we won't be allocated a dedicated Z3 parking area with this number. If we're not meeting at Morrisons, Bouroughbridge as in previous years I'll probably go straight from Harrogate. Suggestions/comments anyone?

Beemer Man.

Its just fell wrong for us this year as its our grandsons birthday party, otherwise would have been there, also z.org have a lakes weekend organised that clashes with this event,

I've edited the first post to show times for Wetherby and Boroughbridge I'm sure that there were other Zeds (3 or 4) shown as going but possibly not from either of the forums.

Hi Fender,

We are traveling from Hartlepool, what route are you taking and what time will you be in our neck of the woods? Are you going A1 or A19? Do you fancy meeting up and having a mini Northern Convoy? (It will be more than one car so its a convoy!!)

I was taking the Z3 to Scotland for the week on Saturday but as the weather is going to be pants :head: he is staying in the garage...............less cleaning to do before Newby I suppose and £200 of unleaded not used!

Let me know............

Best to park in the open as near the exit as possible so hopefully we will be able to see you as we come down the entry road, it's only a quick stop before we go on to Boroughbridge.

Now a total of 518 cars shown as attending - up from 465 yesterday. The parking plan shows 7 BMW-Roadster / Z3 - not sure who the 7th one is?

Hi and welcome. Newby is quite a nice friendly meet with plenty of cars to look at plus the grounds and the hall. If you can park in the car park at Wetherby Services in the open near the exit we should be able to see you as we come in. I've added you to the list.

The good bits:
- everyone at the meeting points on time - big thank you.
- the weather couldn't have been better.
- all the cars were a credit to their owners.
- nice to meet existing friends and meet new ones.

The bad bits:
- the parking arrangements - its the first time that we didn't all get parked together.
- I forgot the camera
