Saris Bones 2 Bike Rack Z4M Coupe

Trying to fit the above to my car,yes I know that there is a specific carrier by BMW for a Z4 but it costs about £600 which is more than I want to pay. Today went to Pedal Power in Jersey, tried the bones 2, with the top section on the glass boot lid, it would need some hatch hugger cables as the metal at the top of the cables won't attach to the glass, looks like there will be a lot of weight on the glass just wondered if anyone else had a similar car and issue. Holiday fast approaching and need help.
