Single DIN Head Unit

Post by netwolf »

Hi folks,

I've just bought a 1998 Z3 roadster which comes with a standard Cassette player that I would like to replace with something like this:

http://cgi.ebay.ca/Universal-7-Single-D ... 3cb3a940a1

I will naturally get it installed here in Antigua -- which is more of a challenge than the rest of the world in many ways.

My question is that is just a plug in a play thing? Would a single DIN (1DIN) head unit fit the standard installed head unit or do I need some sort of dash kit as well?

Thank you.

It should just fit as the standard radio is standard single DIN size. The new radio should come with it's own "cage" that is locked into the dashboard and the radio slots in to.
