17" Round 5 Spoke Wheels (with tyres)

Post by jamila »

I'm hoping to get my new alloys in the next 2-3 weeks. Therefore want to sell the ones I have on my car.

The wheels are 17" (Round 5 Spoke), with low profile tyres in good condition - thanks to Gareth for the info!. I bought the car in Feb 07, the guy I'm buying my new wheels from told me that 2 of my wheels were new.

Please refer to picture below, please note I'll get some better pictures very soon. Took the following picture in the garage so its not brill.

I will get full measurements soon, please PM me with an offer if interested. I'm based near Leeds.

Awww thanks, I hope I sell them...

We're moving house and the new one doesn't have a garage, so I won't have anywhere to store the old wheels!

Hi I got your message mate, have sent you a reply.

Do you know if these are the staggered 7.5J front and 8.5J rears?

Thanks

Hi all, I have someone interested in buying the wheels. I've been asked how much I want for them. Any ideas as to how much I should be looking for?

I've not sold wheels before, don't wana ask for too much or sell them too cheap. Any help would be appreciated.

I think you should be looking for around £300 if the alloys are totally unmarked and tyres in good nick.

Did you ever find out if they were the staggered 7.5j and 8.5j?

I've watched a few sets in excellent condition with decent tyres go for between £185 and £225 on ebay, but they don't come up very often.

Thanks guys.

Iball: I've still got to get them measured. Was going to get the guy who I'm buying the new set to give me full measurements. Due to the bad weather I've been putting off going, so hopefully it will be this Sat. The other person who is interested in them asked for a price and didn't need measurements. I will email you as soon as I have the details I promised to send you.

The wheels have the details of size cast into the wheel somewhere, so you should be able to tell quite easily if they're off the car.

I wouldn't trust a hand measurement for offset! Good luck with the sale, but IMHO, those tyres are only worth getting a car through an MOT to sell it :(

Thanks Stu

I managed to get the wheel measurements just needed to know if they were staggered for Iain. I'm hoping to get something for them at least as the new ones are gonna set me back quite a bit, plus we're moving house and the new one doesn't have a garage for storage!

Where exactly have you been taking Sara on your £10 dates?!

I think the wheels are worth much more, simply because they've been owned by me and that has increased the value. Your losing out Webby, I'd rethink if I was you....
