Another "classic" eBay advert for a Z3

Post by Jonttt »

eBay

some gems extracted :D

M-SPORT (er no there is no Msport Z3 and its not a "sport" either)

PROBABALY THE BEST Z3 ON THE WEB (maybe pushing it a bit?)

HAS THE BEST ENGINE/GEARBOX COMBINATION THAT BMW EVER DID ( )

SPORTS BUTTON FOR BETTER HANDLING/PERFORMANCE (I never new the auto's had adjustable suspension  )

I guess I'm just being picky, its not a bad looking car that is well specced but he M badges tipped me over the edge :D

It always annoys me when people use terms like 'pushes out 150bhp'

pushes out arrrggh!!!! BHP is a method or calculation used to measure an engines capacity for work FFS it doesn't push out anything :head:

Really?! Not in my opinion they don't

Well, technically it is a vacuum operated by an electric valve, operated by some electronics! Does the 2.0 have this? I though it was the 2.8 and 3.0. Essentially it closes off one of the tailpipes at low revs to make it quieter in built up areas.

Another honest car salesman

"THE CAR HAS JUST UNDERGONE A FULL SERVICE (A FULL ROW OF GREEN BLOCKS ON THE SERVICE INDICATOR)"

On checking his Ebay history would you believe he purchased a BMW Service Indicator Light reset tool in February. Probably nothing remotely suspicious there. :?

Anyway, back in October of last year he purchased a "stunning seamless lycra honeycomb bodystocking", so he can't be all bad!

Yes, the 2.0 does have the exhaust flap valve although I can't get mine to close!

Er, who's being picky? :shrug

OXO queried the electronically controlled flaps in the exhaust and I confirmed that the zeds do have such a thing although it's a bit more than electronics. I just wasn't sure the 2.0 had them, but apparently it does, so there's nothing wrong with that bit of the ad...
