Z3 M Coupé (S54) For Sale

Post by Munich Legends »

BMW Z3 M Coupe (S54)

Z3M Coupé (S54)

The Z3 M Coupe is a versatile two-seater with great looks, generous boot space and top equipment levels powered by the legendary 325 bhp S54 straight six, 24 valve 3201cc engine taken straight from the world beating M3.

Building on the foundation of the hugely successful S50 platform, the S54 version provided more power, traction control and improved brakes. With only 168 right-hand-drive versions made, this Z3 M Coupe has already acquired ‘Legend’ status.

Acceleration 0-60 is in 5.1 seconds helped by the car’s lightweight build. With an incredibly stiff chassis and short wheelbase, the Z3 M Coupe has acres of torque (350 Nm @3250 rpm), superb cornering ability and great driver feedback.

This particular model is recently arrived at Munich Legends and is currently undergoing its preparation for the forecourt; more details and specifics including a full write-up to follow in the near future. For more details, or to book a test drive - which are strictly by appointment only, please don’t hesitate to contact the showroom on 01825 740456 or email sales@munichlegends.co.uk

Are there people prepared to pay £23,000 for one of these?

Yep, especially from a recognised specialist like Munich Legends.

S54's with that sort of mileage are rare.

Of course S54 roadies are rarer but the coupe's get more press :D

Surely not?? Coming from a recognised specialist and carrying low miles surely doesn't warrant a £8-10k premium over a private sale? Unless I'm seriously underpricing the worth of an S54 coupe.

I guess time will tell...

I have an element of 'M-styling' on my car, If that's a good enough reason for the manufacturers to adorn a 320 with the M badge, then its certainly a good enough reason for me..

Don't forget that there is nearly £4000 of VAT included in the price ;)

I am sure it isn't a vat qualifying vehicle hence they would only pay vat on there margin

Yeah, £23k is a bit of a
Fantastic example of a great car and I know the coop is supposedly 'worth' more than the roady, but even 'Hexagon of Highgate' wouldn't be quite that cheeky!

 I think I'd rather have 2 S54 roadsters for the same money!

:puzzle: I didn't think VAT was applicable to second hand goods :?:

There is a small error in the ad -- engine is 3246cc not 3201cc as stated.
The coupes are always more expensive on a like for like basis but £23000 is a bit scary.
Sapphire black/Imola red and black interior/ red roof/ S54 - the only RHD one made.

Vat is not applicable on used cars unless it is a vat qualifying vehicle. Only vehicles which were sold to companies which are able to recover the vat a point of purchase with no private use, mainly motor trade or lease vehicles. I would doubt this vehicle would include vat.

Re the VAT, I'm sure ML are VAT registered so they would pay VAT on the sale, whether that be on profit margin or full price. I have sold secondhand goods and they do attract VAT on the full sale price.

Regarding the price, that's for the seller to decide and surely based on the market/availability/condition.

A private sale of a S54 coupe with that mileage would be c£17k +

Add in the piece of mind people want and are prepared to pay a premium for and ............

Compared to the Z4m coupe they have for sale with low mileage for c£14k makes you realise what a premium certain cars attract like this, bring on cartel pricing I say lol

S50 roadster for £17k?
Brilliant...!
I love it when the value of our cars gets 'bigged-up'....
I hope they sell.

Cars and vans have separate treatment for vat than other goods and it depends on the treatment of the purchase and whether the vat has been blocked

With cars like this it's more about what someone is prepared to pay rather than its 'worth'. ML look to get their pricing right based on past sales, assuming they achieved the asking price.

I think its at the upper end on price based on the 2002 S54 Roadster I purchased last year from a BMW dealer (not Hexagon) for signifcantly less which has only 14k miles. I know the coupes go for more but if it sells for this money then it will make me happy!
