I'm guessing Simons deflector won't fit those chrome hoops?

Tim.

I've had a couple off simon (in fact my first was his prototype). My second he custom made for the AC Schnitzer hoops (they have to be custom made for those as there is no set installation height).

They are the best quaility ones I've ever seen as they are properly machine cut.

Sorry I don't know the thickness and my cars 30 miles away in storage (until Sunday :D ) If you look at my journal you can see them being fitted with detailed pics.

I looked at your pics..looks a really good fit. As a rough estimate, would you say about 3/8" thick??

I made my own out of 6mm perspex, made a cardboard template and drew round it onto the perspex, cut it out with a jigsaw and polished the edges with a grinder and sandpaper. Cost about 30 quid in total

Have you found 6mm to be thick enough? What did you use to attach it to your roll bars? I had considered making my own, but thought I'd test the water for a secondhand one first.

Hi Yocky, I assume by standard roll hoops you mean factory fit roll bars, so its this model you have:

http://www.justroadster.com/products/wi ... or_z3.html

Assuming it is then I would guess the 2 are a different shape?

Yocky - thanks for offering it to me, but I assume these are different otherwise Simon would just sell the same one for both. Thanks again, hopefully it looks you might have another buyer anyway.
