Others may tell you something different but my understanding is the OEM cover doesn't have straps that fit under the car to hold it in place. We purchased an aftermarket cover with straps and that still gets pulled away from the car in strong winds. We actually put large elastic bands around the part of the cover over the door mirrors and it still gets blown.Imho,an aftermarket cover can be purchased, used, for a better price and will offer better protection allowing for the issues we have.

The OEM cover I have is a snug enough fit to not need straps, and although it didn't come with any, there is a central grommeted hole on each side so that you could put a strap under the middle of it.geminimustang wrote:Others may tell you something different but my understanding is the OEM cover doesn't have straps that fit under the car to hold it in place.

I've just done that - and it comes up with nothing. Perhaps if you provide the link to the actual item it would help us all.Southernboy wrote:Just enter the seller's name....

Just a word of caution regarding Tybond, 7 years back I bought a grey Tybond outdoor cover which I never used, never even took it out of the packet.
4 years later when I opened it up to give to a friend it ripped as I was pulling it out of the bag.
It seemed to have perished and had no strength, maybe through never being opened.
Just my experience for what it's worth!
Dave.

Re: Wanted: Z3 OEM full car cover (winter)
I was quie amused to see that the car cover which raised so much interest eventually went for £40+ This, as someone pointed out was available from another seller at £36 - "BUY IT NOW"...which just goes to show how an auction sometimes isn't the best route to take...wonder who bought it...
