WANTED..ANTENNA BASE...HELP!!

I ahd a small mishap today...I bumped the aerial, and the black plastic tip of the antenna base snapped off
...I've had a look at it, but it doesn't appear to be repairable...anyone have one knocking about, please PM me...

are you taking about the grommet? if so theres someone selling them on ebay for pre and post facelift. got mine to do tomorrow

If it is the grommet it's it's only £2.50 from the dealer, bought a facelift one last week.

Sorry should have been clearer..it's the black box the aerial screws into...I snapped it's little head off, the bit with the thread in it. Part# 65218375159
Problem is it has a wire under it which has also snapped off, and it's the kind of plastic that resists glue of any kind.

If it's the part I'm thinking of you will need a new base part. It's easy to replace from the boot but the part is c£80

Yep that's the one unfortunately...Yes, I've noticed the price...quite outrageous. If I can't find one at a good price, I may have to use one off another car. Essentially it's a signal booster, but finding one with a similar fitting may be a problem..

At the price of a replacement, it may make sense to have the connecting wire re-attached, and the plastic part "welded". I know a few guys that do "plastic welding". They repair plastic bumpers and parts..might be able to get a repair for £.10.00 while I hunt the breakers for an E36. I would imagine the same unit was used on the E30 and the E36's. Looks pretty standard issue.
