thanks but i don't think it is. the pre-facelift 2.8 has a unique exhaust with a 2 bolt flange at the cat end, pretty sure no other models have this setup, thanks tho

have found quite a few facelift ones available, the slip on ones... anyone ever tried to modify to fit one?

Flange / no flange...It's a simple welding job for any exhaust shop to cut /fit flages or use a coupling piece if no flange is required... Not sure what your guys there charge for doing stuff like that, but here its about £20.00...so not exactly expensive...

Thanks mate. I made some calls yesterday on that and yup same kind of price. So its an option.

Just need to investigate which systems have same hanging points/flow etc and pipes in the right place.

Am in no real rush, would prefer the right part, one will come up, and a buyer/exchange for my quad 8-)

On the subject of exhausts, has anyone tried the s/s backboxes advertised on Ebay for around £60?
Not sure how good they are or how easy to fit but look very cheap.
