Z3 Boot storage accessory...
Anyone have any idea what one of these might be worth...?
Re: Z3 Boot storage accessory...
'no reserve' eBay is your answer.....
Z3 2.8 Progress Journal (Mine)
Z3 1.9 Sport Progress Journal (Wifey's)
I have an element of 'M-styling' on my car, If that's a good enough reason for the manufacturers to adorn a 320 with the M badge, then its certainly a good enough reason for me..

Re: Z3 Boot storage accessory...
What I want to know is...what's the consensus on it's worth....There's one up on eBay in the US...a bit of damage, but it's not a "No reserve" sale...so if there's another up for sale, I'd like to compare...
Any link to the "No Reserve" listing will help....

I think Gookah thought you were selling and was suggesting you put it on ebay as no reserve.

Re: Z3 Boot storage accessory...
Ah more rogues creeping out of the woodwork...
Nice one...What do you think of the concept though? It is fitted into the boot somehow..but I'm not sure where...?? Possibly it hangs from the underside of the boot lid?? Looks a tad "fluffy" on the outside, which always gives me doubts about dust and stuff sticking to such fabrics. It might have been better in a fairly robust canvas type material I would have thought..

Re: Z3 Boot storage accessory...
Do you recall what the final cost was incl shipping etc?
Re: Z3 Boot storage accessory...
exactly....BladeRunner919 wrote:I think Gookah thought you were selling and was suggesting you put it on ebay as no reserve.
I thought you were selling and asking how much to sell it for,
If you are buying then it is worth what you want to pay for it....
It is not usual to ask how much something you are buying is worth without it already having a price.....
especially when you have a photograph of it
and I was confused by your first post.... last thing that springs to mind from it, is that your buying not selling......Southernboy wrote:Hi'ya Blades...I was a little confused by that....?

Re: Z3 Boot storage accessory...
...yes, I can see now how the confusion originated. I was hoping other members had come across / bought this type of item and could tell me where they sourced it and how much they paid at the time...
Well, the question still remains...What sort of price is " average" so to speak??

Re: Z3 Boot storage accessory...
Didn't you have someone local knock up an extended leather dash for you? You could probably get one made (matching leather!) for less than it costs to buy something abroad and have it shipped to SA.Southernboy wrote:...yes, I can see now how the confusion originated. Re: Z3 Boot storage accessory...
I'm sure I could...only thing is the backing which fits the boot lid...I'll have a look at the requirements, maybe design something the trimmer can work with...

Re: Z3 Boot storage accessory...
Could they not just back it onto a bit of hardboard? It wouldn't sit back into the contours of the boot lid, but I can't see that makes much difference.Southernboy wrote:I'm sure I could...only thing is the backing which fits the boot lid...I'll have a look at the requirements, maybe design something the trimmer can work with...

Re: Z3 Boot storage accessory...
...Hahaha...I find it amusing everytime I hear or read someone's comments about possesions...It is significant that when someone describes their own possesions, it's called "my clothes, tools etc etc" but if it's someone elses stuff, it's called "their crap, sh**, etc etc"....see comment in the above post....

Re: Z3 Boot storage accessory...
I think the key here is "Flexibility"...vs "more storage space"....More flexible storage space ?? .....A toss up...removable boot luggage rack or inner boot pockets...?
