It'll be worth as much as someone's willing to pay for it.. What engine size is it?

Re: value of my z3
Just my two penny worth, but given resale values at the moment, I'd take 4100 if you have been offered it.
I'm sure its lovely, but its not an M and low mileage only goes so far.
Sure plenty will disagree

Never trust WBAC.com or similar.
They are aimed at people who are either desperate to sell, ignorant of their car's value, or just too rich to worry about a few grand here and there....
They will undervalue at first quote, then they'll reduce their offer when they see the car, and then after they deduct all the charges they impose on the purchase, (read the small print....) you'll actually end up with a fraction of what they originally offered. Remember, they have to sell it on at a reasonable price and still make a profit.
Apart from the condition and mileage, your car is in a very popular colour and 2.2 is a great engine size, so to the right buyer, I would say your car would be worth significantly more than £4k.
It's just a question of finding the right buyer!
AutoTrader or Pistonheads are the first places I go to judge asking prices, as a seller or a buyer, and unless you're desperate to sell, there's no reason why you shouldn't take a punt at a higher asking price than the competition.
Good luck with the sale (if that's your intention)...But maybe you should just keep the car and DRIVE it a little more often!

Re: value of my z3
Hi Alfie,
Of course, you are right ! Just went to my garage and had a 'sit' - how can I sell this car . £4100 is stealing the thing - seriously re-thinking the sale thing now.

Re: value of my z3
If its any help, I just bought a similar Z3 to yours, totally originial 2.2 sport, silver, fully loaded 2002 model for much more that £4k and mine has 29,000 miles... its just a case of finding right buyer
Re: value of my z3
I'm sure there is someone out there looking for a new Z3 because at 12k miles that's kinda what they would be buying. Advertise it everywhere, pistonheads, ebay, autotrader, on all the BMW forums for £5,500 and I'm sure you would find your buyer. If it was blue i might of been interested.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Re: value of my z3
Hi Spang257, Sourced stuff from all over when I first bought the car - many of the suppliers I am sure have now folded (the z3 was replaced by z4 not long after I bought her). Interior chrome came from motormec who had a great range of interior stuff for z3 but I just looked and there is nothing left! Grill came from a company called adamesh , not sure if they still exist. Instruments came from a co that (I think) took over from smiths instruments . Lots of bits and bobs I can't remember where I purchased them !!!
