Z3M Roadster 2000 69k Estoril Blue & Black leather £6750 ono

Post by Strikem »

I can't believe I'm putting her up for sale so quickly, but I have to face reality, at 6"5 I'm just too big for this car. With the roof down its fine, however with it up its just too much having my head rubbing the roof and looking at the top of the windscreen.

So after months of looking for the "right one" and too many hours polishing and fettling with the car she is for sale for someone else to enjoy.

From the outset ill mention it was a cat d in 2001 (only a year after she was purchased) which is now 13 years ago. Having fully checked over the car it's in fantastic condition so don't let this put you off.
The common faults and niggle have been rectified over the years: water pump replaced, VANOS work carried out, boot welds sorted, also new gearbox and clutch back in 2004.

Perfect Service history:

BMW Specialist cars Luton: Running in check 1352 miles
BMW Chandlers Worthing: Oil service 11298 miles
BMW Sytner Sunningdale: Inspection I 23053 miles
BMW Coopers Banstead: Oil service 35020 miles
BMW Coopers Banstead: Inspection II 42547 miles
BMW Coopers Cobham: Oil service 50484 miles
BMW Specialist CC&L: Inspection I 58488 miles
BMW Specialist CC&L: Oil service 62349 miles
BMW Specialist CC&L: Inspection II 64577 miles
Self service by me with Castrol Edge 10W60: Oil service 69125 miles

The mileage is currently 69512 and will go up very slightly if the weather is good. The engine is spot on with no rattles etc. These engines can be great if they are looked after properly and I have seen them with upwards of 120k miles. I've never revved it over 3k revs before it has time to warm up properly on the oil and engine temp.

The car is Estoril Blue with the full black leather rather than the 2 tone version.

I have professionally upgraded the radio to a lovely Kenwood DAB, which is fantastic and compliments the speakers and subwoofer that were originally fitted with the car. (Huge sound improvement over the standard system). Also you can connect and charge your iPhone etc.

The car is sitting on 19inch AC Schnitzer wheels with almost new tyres, and are complimented with AC Schnitzer pedals, hand brake and gear knob.
Pads and discs were recently done, this car doesn't need any service items for at least a year if not more.

The soft top was replaced a few years ago and is in great condition and works perfectly as does everything on this car. It also comes with cruise control (I was always unsure if this was standard or not on the M model)

Paintwork is in great condition with no dings, there is a small scratch on the front bumper which I might get sorted if I have enough time, but hasn't bothered me whilst owning the car.

I have painted the front grills black as I'm not a fan of chrome, however you can easily purchase some chrome ones of ebay or from a decent Z3 forum if you don't like this look.

The M badges have been refurbished to a very high standard, (often fade on these cars) but the front and back BMW badges could probably be replaced as the have faded very slightly. (I was going to replace with AC Schnitzer ones, however I will leave this decision down to the new owner). As you can probably tell by now I'm very picky with my cars and I maintain them to the highest standards.

There are some very small scuffs on the plastic of the window switches (where someone had chrome surrounds installed with superglue but now have been removed). Here I was going to get either a complete new surround or cover the existing one in real carbon fibre to again match the AC Schnitzer look. As before I'm leaving this to the new owner to decide.

Details:
2000 Z3M Roadster
3201cc S50 engine
Taxed till 31/05/14
MOT tIll 27/02/14
2 keys

The Private plate is not for sale with the car. (oringal plate actually shown in these pictures)
I'm not in a rush to sell, but I'd love it to go to someone for the summer so they can use it.

Thanks for looking
Any questions please email or phone
It will be going up on pistonheads, ebay etc later this week

I don't know what's happened to the photos. They have become chopped? I'm on it trying to fix the problem. :D

Edit: fixed with thumbnail images. 8-)
