Ie I don't think it will fit my s50 as it requires the actuator but will fit s54 with fly by wire throttle. Unless I'm wrong!

That's a bit of this and a bit of that....If you have the fly by wire Z3 you only need the stalk switch and the interface cable.. If you have the other version, you don't need the interface cable, but you do need the "brain box" as well as an actuator...
In the listing, there's no actuator although there is a mounting bracket for one, also no "brian box" shown in the pics... The interface cable sells for £58.00 new ex BMW UK...

There's far more there than is needed for a FBW car. I fitted cruise to my M54 2.2 (very late model) and all I needed was the stalk and the interface - no Bowden cables.

This eBay kit has been discussed in the following thread:

http://www.zroadster.net/forum/viewtopi ... =5&t=40200..
Its a mixture of enough parts, plus unneeded extras for the FBW version, so they could be sold on,
and not enough parts for the other version with the most expensive bits missing anyway, like the actuator and control box.

I have an element of 'M-styling' on my car, If that's a good enough reason for the manufacturers to adorn a 320 with the M badge, then its certainly a good enough reason for me..

Easier solution...just fit a stalk and let everyone else think youve got cruise control :D

The seller should be informed of his ignorance.... and the possibility of selling unwanted parts to some folk...
Best advice is check out realoem.com and ascertain the requirements for your specific car before proceeding to buy...
