Re: Z3M Parts Wanted...
These are common across the range, may get a bigger response if you took out the 'M' limitation
Z3 2.8 Progress Journal (Mine)
Z3 1.9 Sport Progress Journal (Wifey's)
I have an element of 'M-styling' on my car, If that's a good enough reason for the manufacturers to adorn a 320 with the M badge, then its certainly a good enough reason for me..

Have you got a Z3M now? As above all those bits are regular Z3 bits.

Re: Z3 Parts Wanted...
Thank you for the replies, I have amended the subject to Z3
Hi Chris
How are you? Yes long time no type LOL
Yes I am a very happy owner of a Z3M
Found a few issues with it since I got it though, rear boot spot welds have popped which I wasn't aware of grrrrr, so must get that sorted out, a few things missing from the car which I'm trying to find, but will get it back up to scratch very soon

Hi Martyn
Thank you for your reply
I forgot to mention the wind deflector is the mesh type which fits over the roll hoops
Also, do you accept Paypal and would you be willing to post the items as I'm in Northamptonshire
Thanks again

Re: Z3 Parts Wanted...
Hi Shirley,
The deflector is the over the sea headrest type with all clips in situ, complete with bag.
Paypal is fine. My wife works in Dunstable through the week if its easier to pick up from there. Alternatively, brother in law makes frequent trips to Rugby, suppose that's even easier?

Hi Martyn
Thank you for your reply
To be honest with you, I would prefer the roll hoop fitting wind deflector
I would like the tonneau cover, can you confirm it is a genuine BMW part and it's black?
Yes, Rugby would be fine for me to collect and I can pay cash to save you Paypal fees
So what kind of price are you looking for roughly??
Thanks again
Shirley

Re: Z3 Parts Wanted...
Hi Shirley... it occurred to me that if your analogue clock doesn't keep time, you can contact Bertiejaffa (Lee) here...he has the solution to the problem of these M clocks which seem to operate intermittently or sometimes have stopped completely.

Anyone else confused here?bighernan wrote:The deflector is the over the sea headrest type with all clips in situ, complete with bag.
I have not seen an 'over the seat-headrest deflector' before?
Also was this some kind of subconscious message in the list of parts requestedSouthernboy wrote:Hi Shirley... it occurred to me that if your analogue clock doesn't keep time, you can contact Bertiejaffa (Lee) here...he has the solution to the problem of these M clocks which seem to operate intermittently or sometimes have stopped completely.

Re: Z3 Parts Wanted...
lol.... no, but it seems it's a very common issue with those old VDO clocks... Lee and I have recently been through the whole process of stripping these things in an attempt to find the problem and in the process I discovered the "cure" which is quite simple, but requires some deft handiwork to open up the thing and sort it out. If you send him a PM, he'll be able to sort it for you... I know the new VDO clocks are listed at around £108 on eBay, but they have black bezels now, and at that price time becomes very expensive... but I do know that he will be able to sort it for about 1/2 that or less, and you'll get a brand new clock mechanism which works as it should...

Re: Z3 Parts Wanted...
I meant the the ones that fit over the roll hoops! Too many hours at work followed by a cheeky red when I typed that.
Both parts are genuine BMW and came with my, sadly departed zed. The tonneau is black.
I have no idea how much to ask for. I can throw in a new, unopened Autoglym hood restorer kit too, plus an original stereo head unit.

Was it a bottle of cheeky red LOL
Sorry to hear you don't have your Z'd anymore
I'm really not sure how much to offer, how about £130?
Many thanks,
Shirley

My analogue clock is working fine, its the outside temperature gauge I have a problem with, plus since having the car for a week, a few more issues have popped up grrrrrrrr

Isn't that just the way it goes... one thing leads to another... Anyhow, there's quite a bit of info in the Z3 Roadster posts on outside temp sensors and related...
Re: Z3 Parts Wanted...
When you say overmats, do you mean floor mats for in the footwells
If you do and you don't want genuine items, you won't go wrong with a set from valuecarmats.
£14.95 + £4.79 P&P
But if you enter the code IWANTADEAL in the coupon box at the checkout, they get discounted to £11.84 delivered
They are great mats for the price, I have used them a few times for different cars as have other members and I don't think anyone has been disappointed yet!
