Z3 luggage.

Post by Davejue1 »

Hi all, as we're off to France in July in the Zed I'm on the hunt for a luggage set. If anyone wants to part with a set please let me know. :)

Cheers
Dave

Dave, when we went to Andorra last year we used soft travel bags of various sizes. Got everything in ok and the benefit is you can utilise all the small gaps.

We also used the area behind the seats as well, lots of room there with a careful bit of packing. Also as Pauline is not very tall a useful area was under the front carpet. A plastic box held all sorts of stuff.
We're off to tour France/Switzerland/Italy for 12 days this year and will be packing the same way as last year.
Enjoy your trip and don't forget the photos.
Cheers

Hi Dave, thought it would be neat and tidy and something nice to have with the Zed. If no one comes up with anything I shall be taking your advice anyway. We were tempted with Switzerland but have decided to take off to the loire this year instead. Looking at doing Switzerland as part of an alps tour with Austria and maybe a bit of Germany as well. :)

Is this the sort of thing you're after?

£150 + £35 shipping :(

Wouldn't fit in mine due to the Harmon amp in the boot.

I have an element of 'M-styling' on my car, If that's a good enough reason for the manufacturers to adorn a 320 with the M badge, then its certainly a good enough reason for me..

Hi, Dave search for, (weekend space for the Zed) posted by Bazza :) I can recommend the set-up that I've got it gives you double space as you will see the holdall sits on the boot :?:

Thanks bazza. I've had a look and although it would certainly allow you to carry more kit I would constantly be looking at it to make sure it's still there! I am fortunate that Jue is happy to travel light. (Only 10 pairs of shoes!) I am just fancying the luggage set as I think it looks smart and would serve the purpose well. :)

Hi Dave
I'm with you on the luggage
For a one night stop it is one bag "in and out" rather than hunting through the boot for stuff. Which is really stress when all you want to do is have a shower and a beer!!

I brought from Roadster Bag in Germany - good people and prompt delivery.
http://www.roadsterbag.co.uk/index.html
They were great - seems that the UK link isn't showing the BMW pages - go to the Dutch Flag and you will see the BMW ones.
Email René there and ask for more info.

Would also thoroughly recommend a Luggage Rack.
We used this one and it has served us well - comes on and off easily.

They used to an English site, but can't find it. Try an email.

Hope this is of use?
