Z3 for sale... needs TLC
Is anyone interested in this, it would be a not too difficult project for someone.
I have a 2001 (Y) 1.9 Z3 in silver, leather, power hood, that needs a bit of TLC.
94k on the clock, MOT April 2016.
Problems:
Front left brake sticking and grinding, new discs, pads and possibly cylinder required.
Cooling system short plastic pipe cracked needs replacing, currently has temporary repair and radiator bleed valve snapped with temporary repair.
Passenger window does not work, it has jumped off the runners.
Very small chip on windscreen.
Gear stick knob loose and not original.
Drivers leather seat worn/torn in usual place.
Paintwork generally good, several car park dings mainly on passenger door.
Front wheel arches have just started to rust in small area, only noticed today when looking around.
It has been 'keyed' on rear left wing.
Bumper scuffs on each front corner, one sidelight is broken.
Two front tyres still legal with slow punctures, rear tyres good.
Power roof works, rear screen replaced 5 years ago and good, roof needs a good scrub.
Pistons that hold up the boot have lost pressure.
Passenger seat electric adjust does not work.
Engine runs well and has never had any issue.
It would need a trailer to take away only because of the brake issue.
Edit: Oil Service and Inspection lights are on.
Comes with BMW wind deflector and tonneau cover.
£1500??... Help... What is it worth?

He's added on a tonneau cover and a wind deflector since I last looked, so maybe that will tempt you.beerbelly wrote:sorry have you made a mistake with the price and put a nought to many in
BTW, I have to ask. Does it look anything like the picture? I only ask because I think it was taken five years ago when the car only had around 50,000 miles on it.

Hi guys, yes the picture was 5 years ago, it still looks very similar when all polished and nice, just with the aforementioned dings and scrapes!
I only put the price as I read the forum rules before posting and it said it had to have one, hence the question marks, I'm really open to knowing what people think it is worth, it'll help me to decide what to do with it (sell, do it up or scrap it), as at the minute it's not doing a great deal.
Pics available but the description is pretty accurate and honest.

I contacted the guy, we agreed a figure so I was trying to arrange payment but the guy just ignored my e-mails!! Guess he sold it elsewhere.
