As per the title, has anyone got a working one for a 2.8, mines seized.
1999 2.8 Arctic Silver Z3

I had to swap mine recently for the same reason.

It's quite a hard part to find, I've never seen any for sale on eBay. Though of course you will probably now get loads of offers...

It's the sort of thing you may need to message sellers 'breaking whole car' as they're just as likely to overlook removing it before sending the shell to the crusher.

I've looked into servicing the unit but it's well sealed.

It's any easy swap job though.

When I saw the price from BMW new (£300 odd) I started looking Kenlowe etc but then thought why not look at a 3 series - I found that You can use one from a 328i, I paid £106 brand new for a German made unit from ECP. It needs minor trimmming of some excess plastic moulding from the shroud and otherwise fits perfectly.

Thanks for the input, thinking of having the old motor rewound. Do you need to remove the front bumper to remove it?

I removed mine anyway but I'm fairly certain you could do it without removing.

I drew a blank finding anyone to rebuild it. Please share back here if you are successful.
