Hi

I before i got my new computer
I downloaded software to convert pics to avatars
I cant remember which one it was

Looking for one to download

Anybody with a good convertor site to pass on
A free site please

You just need an image resizer. See the sticky on resizing pictures usign XP Powertoys or VSO resizer (Vista).
Only one image can be displayed at a time, its width can be no greater than 80 pixels, the height no greater than 80 pixels, and the file size no more than 6 KB.
Remember that every program you download from the internet could contain a virus, that may simply make you computer run slower and slower over time. Only download those that are really essential for daily use or recommended by someone you consider to be an expert.

Use the Search button before posting newbie questions about hard tops and fitting kits, footwell speaker amps, water in the boot, hood maintainance and those horrific angel eyes. We get like 10 threads a week on the same subject, it's obvious that you haven't searched.
