Site issues?

Post by PhoenixCoupe »

Does anyone else get timeouts with the site on a regular basis, as if it's unavailable?
I get it at least once a day, for about 20 minutes at a time. It seems to be happening more recently. It's not my connection, as I can access other sites just fine in the meantime.
Just get a "no server response" or "server connection interrupted" message when it happens.

Yes, have been getting this for a while - seem to happen at random points during the day and often around 7-9pm as well. If you wait a while and retry it comes back to life. :(

Cheers R.

At least it's not just me then!
I've been trying to see a pattern, but, as Robert says, it's at random points.

Yup

I get the same :(
"Waiting for response from server" is the usual message
Sometimes it IS my broadband ISP (especially early evening) but usually it appears to be site specific.

I get a problem around midnight when the site is very very slow to respond. I've been chatting with other members on MSN at the same time and they have had the same problem.

I'm just guessing here, but it seems a likely time for backups and so on. So it's probably just going to be like that forever. :(

Problem is it's not always midnight.
Or always once a day...

Do the backups run once a day at a set time?

Most of my connection issues have been between 7pm and 10pm weeknights

Same as - I wondered if was a busy time in the USA and they were hogging the bandwidth. Where is the server hosted ?

Why not doing backups further in the night.
I have the same problem here. But for me it's in the middle of the evening :|

Same here - I remember a few months ago noticing it was regular as clockwork for midnight - and noticed it again last night. I only remember experiencing the problems connecting in the last year or so.

Have learned not to start writing a post before midnight and try to post it after :head:
