Home page clock and post order?

Post by Devon Z »

I noticed today that the home page clock is 20mins slow and my post went in the wrong order. Think it's happened before :(

Have you guys tried using a different browser other than Internet Explorer?
Might be an IE caching issue.

Whenever I check the homepage clock it is spot on to the second...

Home page clock looks OK. The site is hosted across multiple servers and I know there was a problem a while back when their clocks weren't in sync. Let me know if it's still happening Monday and I'll give them a call.

Where is the homepage clock? Most of the posts I submit end up in the wrong order.

I did look for the GMT + 20mins to allow for rural Chelmsford postings

Alex on your profile what is the GMT setting, set the GMT TO +1, that may change the post order for you

OK, I've contacted the hosting company and asked them to check the clocks are in sync.

Each posting gets a date/time stamp which comes from the server. If one of the servers has the wrong time then messages are retrieved from the server out of order.

The time shown in your profile (which currently should be GMT for UK users) is used to convert the system time to the time at your locality.
